The Iberian City of Castellet de Banyoles Located on a platform over the Ebro river, this area offers an unmatched view of the river and the mountains of Els Ports. Three excavated areas are open to the public: the entrance with two pentagonal towers and two parts of the fortress inside. Signposts and information panels guide you on your tour. Tivissas Old Town The walled old town is full of narrow, sinuous streets and fascinating sights such as the remains of the old castle, fortified gates, and centuries-old houses with balconies and coats of arms. The centrepiece is the ecclesiastical monument of Sant Jaume, a magnificent temple that mixes Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. Hiking The following signposted routes are available: |
